Video Blurry After Trimming? Check These Three Settings

In e-commerce video work, I've seen plenty of people complain that footage "gets blurry after trimming." Most of the time the blur isn't the tool's fault - it's settings that got touched during the trim. Here are the three mistakes I've hit.

First: output resolution. If you're just cutting off the edges, resolution should stay identical. But many editors silently scale the output down, throwing away real detail. After trimming, check whether the output resolution matches the source.

Second: bitrate. If the tool defaults to a low bitrate after cutting, fast motion turns into color blocks and mush. Try raising the bitrate back to source level - 8-10 Mbps is usually stable for 1080p.

Third: encoder. Stick with H.264 + MP4 and don't convert to poorly compatible formats. Main product videos and detail-page videos are fine from 720p with H.264.

With a local video trimmer you work in the browser, editing the file itself - it never leaves your device. Unpublished sourcing samples and unreleased material with logos are safest trimmed locally; you even skip the upload step.
